The Fleet Compliance/Financial Analyst will help Village Travel maintain compliance by managing our fleet and fixed assets as well as auditing and evaluating different departments’ processes and drive waste elimination.
Job Duties: Act as the first line of support for fleet compliance inquiries.
Developing a license and registration support strategy to ensure ongoing requirements are met at all locations.
Manage and maintain detailed records of vehicle licensing and registration.
Develop and maintain various tracking systems related to vehicle maintenance, registration, inventory, etc.
Manage the entire fixed asset process from beginning to end.
This includes adding assets in Acumatica, monthly depreciation posting and reconciliations, and asset disposals as needed.
Review fixed asset additions and retirements, depreciation expense, gain/loss on disposals and all related reconciliations.
Maintain the company’s fixed asset policy and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Including assisting and guiding other departments in determining what costs qualify as capitalizable.
Guide the utilization of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to empower decision-making and enhance the management of company operations.
Identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and drive waste elimination and transformation opportunities that will provide value within the organization.
Collaborate with peers and all levels of organization to research available data, develop new processes/ideas or efficiencies.
Account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts requiring a higher level of analysis and understanding; Accrued Expenses & Insurance, Prepaid Expenses & Insurance.
Develop and propose KPIs and Scorecards to track department/division and company level progress.
Take on additional responsibilities as necessary when new business needs arise.
Perform other duties as requested by CFO.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are essential.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and agility to work multiple streams.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where deadlines are tight, and priorities evolve.
Ability to prepare financial analyses from general ledger data.
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and acute attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
