Colangelo & Taber, PA is a small public accounting firm that has been in business for over 25 years and has offices in Andover, KS and Eureka, KS.
We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant who is an active CPA certificate holder or a CPA candidate to work in our Andover, KS office.
The successful applicants’ primary responsibilities will be the preparation and review of income tax returns.
We are willing to train! Pay will be commensurate with experience.

* Tax return preparation (Primarily Individual, Partnership and Corporate)
* Tax planning and consulting
* Respond to and resolve IRS and State tax notices
* Quarterly payroll tax return preparation
* Assist with audits
*Job Requirements*
* CPA or CPA Candidate (Preferred)
* Possess strong procedural and analytical skills
* Review and compile financial statements
* Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel
* Proficiency in QuickBooks a plus
* Proficiency in Google Workspace
* Proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple tasks at one time, while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines
* Proven problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail; able to identify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions
* Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact in a respectful manner with colleagues and clients; leveraging active listening skills
* Proven communication skills; able to convey one's message in a clear, concise and professional manner, considering one's audience, in all forms of media (i.
e.
voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face)
* Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential
* Experience in Federal and State income tax return preparation a plus
* Be self-directed and self-motivated
* Experience in public accounting
* Higher volume of hours worked required during busy season (Jan-Apr)
