Hewitt & Behr, PA is a small established CPA firm located in east Wichita looking for an accounting intern to join our team.
We serve a variety of clients and local business owners with their tax and accounting needs.
Candidate will gain valuable work experience in the field of accounting and experience the work environment for an accounting firm.
Internship position from February, 2024 - April 31, 2024.
20 hours per week during business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon - Fri).
Schedule is flexible and may be able to work additional hours as needed.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
* Perform general accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
* Assist in the month-end, quarter-end closing processes, analyze data and reports for logical and reasonable outcomes.
* Assist with payroll entry, quarterly filings, and sales tax returns.
* Investigate errors and propose solutions to problem.
* Become familiar with various tax forms.
*Basic Qualifications:*
* Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting required or Two years experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Solid understanding of accounting principals
* High level of integrity
